I have bought some bed rails but having a problem finding the sliding supports.  I have a Freedom Jetstreem that at the moment uses the table for the mid bed space.  I hope (with your help) to convert to the pull out bed rails.  As a female oldie I need some advice please, but nothing too complicated as it has to be a DIY

Yes, I have bought the slats from Ikea at £10.00 but my friends van has a channel they slide on.  I will need to add some thing extra to the sides of the lockers for them to rest on..Then fashion a box for them to drop into.  I am a reasonably fair DIYer Any help from some one who has done this woul be a help.

I would first of all try what you have bought in your caravan - unless the table is a double level one it already fits on a groove on the side of the seats - how do the slats fit on this groove?

Table is double level one and the slats would rest where the table does.  .BUT I can not slide the slats away into a box as the lockers go right to the end of the van. I think I need to add something on the side of the lickers to allow the slats to move, then build a box for them to drop into.  Sorry not good at explaining myself.

Do you realy need them to pull out of a locker? I would just store them rolled up and get them out when required. I would have an end stop on both ends of the roll to keep the tension when in position.

Thank you so much, now you have given me more thinking to do.  I need to sit and look, then go to bed and think what I am going to do whil asleep.  Mad I know but I work a lot of things out that way.  Will let you know what the outcome is, and thank you again.  B
