Yes you are right. We have a 2008 Challenger but when I asked at a dealers what it was worth he asked me when it was built. I said 2007 but it was a 2008 model bought March 2008. Not sure if it actually made any differnce to the price?
when i took my van in (trade in) to discover where i bought it from, i told them the same," the van is a 2008 model but bought nov 07" he classed it as a 2008 and give me the trade in price on that year. 08.and a good trade in price at that. they told me good vans are hard to come by. mine had only done 700 miles! and looked as if it had just come out the show room. whats a month or 2 between friends.

I used to be self employed and I know exactly what you mean. Everyone else gets their holidays and you end up getting the dregs if there is any time left at all. We sold our caravan when we opened our shop which we ran for 15 years as we couldn't use it enough.
thanks john my staff are all weird they seem to want to take ther holidays now i manage a week in may and august i really dont mind its just the way it is and a long way to go to retiring a good 30 years yet i hope lol
we also do a lot of long weekends in the hols which are our main reason for the van we get away friday early iof possible then dont return till monday lunch time so it suits us
