I suspect that if you looked at those colours for more than 5 minutes there would be serious migraine issues too.... !
I do wish they'd do more caravans in cream & (soft !) green though. I think there were a lot more older 'vans in these colours. Tents come in a variety of quite pleasing hues, why not caravans ?

Because caravan companies in the UK are run by accountants not designers

Pretty much what Mrs Z & I were saying. It's safe, they are probably frightened that the vast majority of people would have the "caravans are white" mindset & not buy.
People do buy cars, campervans, & tents in the different colours which are available, but as the vast majority of carvans are white white & white, might well prefer to stay within the mould....

It's an interesting question that I'd love one of the big manufacturers to answer - why the reverse Henry Ford approach to caravans: "any colour you want as long as it's white"?
There could be a fear that particularly strong colours wouldn't age well - not so much fade as go out of fashion, which would affect resale values.

Why would they have to be strong colours though ? And the same would apply to cars campervans etc too. It's strange really isn't it ?
I do feel it's probably that now we've only (mainly) had white for such a long time they think we're all so goddamned boring we wouldn't accept (buy) anything `different'. Sadly, I suspect they might be right !

The caravan show tonight had the man from Stealth on, would you believe that after last years new designs they are now going to also produce a standard layout van. As that is what is wanted.
We are our own worst enemy, we go for what works, not the new fashion.
If you think the caravan industry is conservative, check out the bathroom suite manufacturers - once they made their basins, bogs and baths in a wide range of colours, but now it's white or nowt.
