Just a cautionary note if you are coming to Lincolnshire to make sure that you have enough of the "Lite" if that is what you like to use. They don't seem to have any round here.
We are at Woodhall Spa and the C&C site does not have any. They say that they don't store much and sold the last bottle yesterday morning. So yesterday afternoon we went to Vantage Caravans in Tattershall. They didn't have any. Apparently they don't store much. They could not tell me of anyone round here who had any.
Checked Calor suppliers on the net and set off on a tour today with our list.
Each supplier advised us that no one round here supplies Calor Lite and that the nearest supplier was probably in Lincoln. One shop assistant just screwed her face up and asked "Calor what?"
Kept motoring and ended up in Sutton on Sea, about 30 miles from Woodhall Spa and located a cylinder. Nice day out at the coast though.
So, if you are down this way make sure of your supplies before setting off!!!! Woodall Spa C&C site only has 10 amp available so on these cold nights gas is a bit handy.
Beautiful location.

Phil, where in Sutton on Sea did youmanage to get one? We're off to Sutton on Sea on Friday although we should have enough gas - we're only away 5 nights. Butit would be useful for future trips.
Did you try lincs gases in spilsby? That's where I bought one of my first bottles from a couple of years ago. They had no problems with swopping with non-lite bottles either.
we've been out of these bottles for about four weeks now and still no sign of calor telling us when they will have them back, its really frustrating that they cant meet the demand of the amount of propane gas cylinders in the winter.
Don't know what goes on at the head office but there is obviously a high demand for these bottles (as we sell out in a few days of our normal delivery) and they should be prepared but hey ho thats only my opinion
Hi Lassie, It was the Caravan Club site at Hawthorn Park. We have enough gas now till we leave. Around our neck of the woods (East Yorks) there are quite a number of Calor Lite retailers in addition to the Caravan dealers, so was surprised to find it so different down here. One Calor dealer said that Calor told him that there was no use in stocking the Lite bottles as they don't have as much gas as other bottles. That's as nonsensical as saying "we don't sell pints of milk as the four litre bottle has more milk"! Another dealer suggested that there was no benefit in the calor Lite for caravanners. I tried explaining about weights and the lighter the cylinder the more other gear could be packed into a van, tow ball weights and just lost him. Know your customer and you can deliver a better service. Or maybe that's just too optimistic
