What date does the chassis say? Does it match the date in question?
Maybe the windows have been replaced at some time and not etched? But highly unlikely all would be like it!
I think you can still check with CRIS via the chassis number if the van has been registerd with them. When I changed the CRIS ownership on my van to me upon purchasing, they take the Chassis number and etchings to match the van up. I would advise you do this just incase its been stolen and they are trying to hide its identity. A Check with CRIS costs around £15 I think..
Bear in mind the current seller maynot be aware there's a problem, if hes an owner down the line, he may have brought the van in good faith and be none the wiser. But for peace of mind its worth checking. If in doubt walk away.
