What nose weight do you have at the moment? Are the car and caravan tyre pressures correct? When I see a large vehicle about to overtake I pull over as far as I can to the left and this also helps minimise the buffeting effect.Sometimes vehicles like Transits seem to give more problems than artics and coaches.

Hi Rob,

Funnily enough I have just weighed my nose weight and was horrified to discover that it went off the scale 120+. What amazed me was when I weighed this several weeks ago it was OK and have done nothing significant to add the additional weight. An electric cable, waste tank and empty water container is all I have added to the front. I have subsequently relocated these and now have a nose weight of circa 70KGS. For anyone reading this, small things matter in this instance.

be careful that yo don't go tto wide when turning or pulling into a gate because the carvan back end swings out as well.
you can get caught out watching the inside and wipe something out on the outside.
I always get my wife to watch the outside when pulling out of tight site or corner.

We are newbies too...the motorway has become the *best mate*, where as pre-van I wanted to avoid it like the plague!

Inside lane, steady away, slow speed (50-55mph), room for everyone else to pass you, nice straight roomy roads!!

Some 'van owners don't half go zooming past you lol!!

:) how ironic, i feel absolutely the same, motorways and major A roads are planned now when I go anywhere. I avoid B roads even to the detriment of driving sugnificantly more mileage.
