Had a wondeful time except for the first 2 days! When we arrived at the site and were setting up we found that the front most roof light of our 18 month old Altea 360LT had blown off somewhere on the journey. Luckily it hadn't rained!
Found a very good repair place in Scorrier who offered 2 different replacement roof lights. On checking by phone with the original dealer which was most suitable he stated that he had replaced several of these.(??)
Has anyone else with this model had a similar problem?
We replaced it with a Mini Heki Plus on his suggestion and this seems to be a much better fitting, and much stronger due to the front hinge.
And yes I had checked before we set off that the unit was properly pulled down!!
What model year was yours? What type was the original roof light? I have a 2010 542DT and this has a Mini HekI S. I have had no problems to date but you now have me worried!
Also does the Plus have a flyscreen/blind as it does't show one fitted?
Ours is a 2009 year model, with the basic Heki roof light with the 4 metal springs that held it up or down.
The new Heki is the one that is hinged at the front edge with a locking bar to hold it up. The blind cassette from the original fitted to it, so they refitted that, but I think otherwise you have to buy a seperate blind cassette.
