Well we used to be into our camping big time often going about 6 times a year then in march i had to have fluid drained from my hip joint that left me very sore. So about 6 weeks ago we bought an old Trophy agilic et4 for £450 (big money).
We went away for 4 night to Fron Farm in Mold in Wales and whilst we were away we past a caravan sales place called A&B Caravans which is just off the A55 j31. We seen the van that was perfect for us the right set up and everything with it including the awning. Then we spent the next two days thinking about the perfect van and our old van seemed so old fashioned.
To cut a long story short a week later we picked up our Bailey Ranger 500/5 for £7500 over 10 times more than our original £450 spent, we've have a couple of night away in the new Caravan and we just love it to bits so perfect for us. I will miss Camping however but i'm looking forward to the good times in the van,,,
What got me into caravanning was my sister, she has had a tourer for years & after talking at a family party i decided to buy a trailer tent then six monthes later we got our first caravan, now on caravan number 3 & never looked back lol
Cheers Eddy & co
------------- WHY DOES SHE TELL ME EVERYTHING IS MY FAULT?
Tried hubby with a couple of nights in a tent, he enjoyed the freedom but didn't like the tent. We were travelling back from a weekend away (B & B) a few monthes later when we dropped into a caravan show room and we ended up with a trailer tent.
Two years with the trailing tent and then out of the blue he suggested a caravan, we went to look at a 2nd hand van through a private add by the time we got there it had been sold.We knew of a showroom some 20 miles away so since we were out we went for a look and bought a 2nd hand van that was only 2 years old which we've now had for 6 years and the rest is history.
Well I, a determined never ever not on your life type person, was persuaded by OH, rather reluctantly, to go away on a camping trip for a few days with our lovely Grandson last year. So off we went and bought a very nice tent, with carpet etc. Loved it but........ decided the tent was not quite large enough so bought a bigger one and loved it. But....... it didn't feel quite right. So having sold the first two tents we decided to buy a brand new Trailer Tent. Wow how lovely was that but.....! Hmm - perhaps a folder camping with hot water and heating would be better given the quicker erection time so off we went and ordered one :-) But two hours later having felt very pleased with ourselves we were suddenly filled with doubt - why go half way? So to cut a very long story short we have ended up buying a rather lovely caravan and how excited and surprised am I So it took a while but we eventually found the light and I really, really can't wait

We camped in a tent for a few years and used to feel miserable putting it away for the colder months - the final straw was driving home from work ahead of a week off in October and kept seeing caravans going in the opposite direction heading for the coast - I thought "I'm having one of them". Now had the caravan for 2 years and use it all year round so no more winter blues waiting for the spring weather.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
