Thanks Chilephilly, my OH is a HGV driver so will be fine but I haven't towed before so will ask him for tips (its sure to cause an argument lol). We've been looking at towing mirrors today as it happens.

Have you picked up you van yet and when do you plan your first trip? We too are considering buying a van. It won't be as lovely as yours as our budget is quite small. We'll still use our tent in the warmer months but want to get away all year round and I am a fair weather camper with the tent.
Trouble is, we're torn between getting a van or a little cruiser boat. We live by the river Thames and have a small motorised dinghy but we want to be able to have something we can go away for weekends in all year round. Wish we could afford both but sadly we can't.

Have you found a nice place to test the van out yet? You'll love it, everything kept nice & warm & there's somewhere to dry off when it's raining ( the huge plus point from a tent).
