Hello all,

I have been given the task of finding a bike carrier which fits to a detachable towbar, which can carry bikes while you're towing.

I've had a good look around and haven't found one yet. Have seen them on European campsites on Dutch outfits - anyone know where I can find one?

You are aware that if you carry bikes on your towbar it may exceed your noseweight limit when your caravan is also hooked up

You have probabley seen the type that fit on the ball, popular in Holland, but you can't tow as well. The only towbar mounted carriers I've seen that allow you to tow as well require a flange type towbar.

As stated, you have watch total towbar load & also turning clearance when towing.

Tentz - I've definitely seen them on detachable towbars. maybe a trip to Holland may be in order!!

A bike carrier will fit on a detachable towbar, but not the type that you can tow with as well.

You have found a demountable towhitch? Please, tell me more...

The only ones I have seen are either vehicle-specific swanneck things, or custom made bespoke mounting 4wd armour.

If you have found something that doesn't involve trying to import a US reciever hitch, I am all ears.
