Hiya
We parked on the road side just outside the port called Marine Parade as our ferry was midnight. Felt safe to leave car and caravan ?(hitched up and wheel locked) whilst we went for a wander and meal.

I don’t believe he did & does rather prove some posts are more useful than others. Info like that is never obsolete & can usefully be updated at anytime. In fact I drove down Marine Parade on Dover seafront at gone midnight a month ago & several caravans & motorhomes were parked. Daytime charges but free overnight as far as I could see.
