l am driving to spain in Dec with my dog, any info on guest houses gladly appreciated, l will be going calais through france, any ideas on best routes please

My son has done the trip via France and Spain to Gibraltar with one dog and the reverse trip with 2 dogs and I don't think he had any trouble finding reasonable hotels that would take the dogs. Don't forget to check the ferries for booking kennels if going the long route.
