Hi just wondered if anyone has booked for bank holidays yet i thought i would nut hubby says its far to early but i know places get booked up quiet quick
Hi, yes have all of them booked already. Never too early and think it will be a bumper year for camping and caravanning. I would book early if you have your heart set on a particular site or sites.
------------- 2012
March - Woodovis, Devon
April - Trewethett, Tintagel
April - Santander - no caravan
May - The Willows, Abersoch
June - Killegruer, Mull of Kintyre
August - Gwithian Farm, Cornwall
September - TBC
October - TBC
I love these on this message board........ Hope you don't mind OP but when you have a "nut hubby" I hope he doesn't read it!!!!

I don't think it's too early to book Easter - with Bank Holidays on Friday and Monday two weeks running, I think lots of people will have already booked for the whole 11 days - I booked in November, before the Royal Wedding holiday was announced.
Being retired we avoid bank holidays and give someone else a chance of a pitch, it also works out better for us as we avoid all the traffic congestion on the roads at that time.

We do the same, never go away at bank holidays, if its not our main hols then we go Sunday to Friday leaving weekends for people who have had to work.
I always book well in advance so I can be sure that I can secure whichever site, pitch, location & services I prefer - but thats just me. I think though that if you want to book a holiday for the 2 April bank hols including the royal wedding then I wouldn't leave it too much longer.

We can only take school holidays so try to get organised as soon as possible. Booked Center Parcs for Easter 2011, not in the van obviously, it's our first time there so looking forward to it.
I did look and the price we booked at a year ago - £300 - went up to over £600 after the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday was announced
It's never too soon, especially for bank holidays and during the school holidyas.
I am limited to weekends and school holidays and like to get booked up sooner rather than later. Having said that I have been lucky in the past and have managed to get onto sites by ringing to book and arriving 24 hours later.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
