Hi there, we will be travelling in Europe this year going through France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Belgium. We will obviously need some Breakdown adn Recovery cover, can anyone make a recommendation or steer us clear of any bad companies. Thanks
We have been going to Europe since 1987 and we have always taken out the Caravan Club Red Pennant insurance. Whilst we take out breakdown and personal cover it is available in just breakdown. Don't have this year's cost but for 2010 for Motoring Only was £96 for 13 to 24 days cover. I think you have to be a member of the Club to buy their insurance. It consistently gets good feedback whereas you hear very little about experiences elsewhre. If you decide to use a non Club Insurance make sure they can cope with your length of caravan.
red pennant the one and only have used them in the past and they came up trumps even when I queried something when I got back home they responded positively much impressed with them
It has to be Red Pennant everytime for us. In the last 5 years used them twice once for car and van. They have been brillant, sorting out ferry, car hire and even flying us home.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
