happy New All, wondering if anybody can help pls, we have just bought our first caravan home its a swift corniche 2 berth, this might sound silly to some ppl but how the hell do i do the bed's in the living room, which way do we put the cushion's to make the double bed together x Gill
Do you have 2 long seats opposite each other with a little drawer unit in between at the front? If so, there'll be slats that pullout from the drawer unit & extend up to the opposite end of the seats. You then use the back cushions from the seats to make up the rest of the mattress.
You may find it more comfortable if you turn the cushions over so that you are lying on the underside of the cushion. This gives a flatter surface to lie on. It is best to try it out both ways to decide which is best for you. A lot of people also use a mattress topper or a duvet to give a bit more comfort.
Thanks all for the good reply, all we need now is to go and try the van, hopefully we can book for the end of March, cant wait i feel like a kid with a new toy, even sat in it while hubby watched footy yesterday thats what happens when u have it on yor drive im never out of it making it like our second home x Gill
Hi Gillian 58, Congrats on your new van, with your van stored on drive, you dont have to wait to test it, you could hook up all your water and waste equimpent, as if on site, fill and test loo if you have one,and if you have friendly electrician ask if he could wire up a house hold plug with length of cable and caravan hookup plug , that way you can test AC lights, test fridge, water heater,on AC,and will charge the battery, and you can check them on the gas side, will give you the chance to familiarize your self totaly with your van,and able to see what you need or dont need, how to pack van safely, and keep it within the max weight ov your van. Good luck and enjoy your trips in your new van.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Thanks Ronni54 we already have one and have tested everything all is working well but we seem to be having trouble with the waste pipe's they keep falling off when i empty the sink's any idea's how to keep them on, xx Gill
At the risk of asking a really silly question, are they the correct pipe for the waste? They are usually grey or black, ribbed and wider than the clean water pipe. I have to push and twist mine to make sure they fit securely onto the connectors but have rarely had one come off.
