We've spent the weekend emptying & cleaning the van ready for changing it over next weekend. I can't believe how much 'stuff' can be accumulated in such a small space!
We've filled the shed & have more stacked in plastic boxes in the house!
Problem is, it'll all have to stay like that for 2 weeks now as we drive down to Worcester to change vans next Saturday & come home Sunday so won't have chance to put it all back til the weekend after. At least it gives us chance to go through everything & decide what not to put back though.
know what you mean when we emptied ours and changed over i swore that it would never be like that again but it did not last.the stuff trickles back in.i call them what if's.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Ohhhh know exactly what you mean. ha ha! I have emptied mine this weekend as it is going in for a service & some work tomorrow. OMG couldn't believe how much. Lots of big Ikea bag's full up. Then there is the stuff I have put in the garage. Gulp!!! We have only had it less than a year & yes lots & lots of 'what if's'. Am gonna have a huge clear out I think. Am going to be very strict & not put back in anything that I have not used last season.
Mind you the kid's are happy as I had one bag of their toys & stuff which they have had great fun going through
its amazing what you can get into a caravan and when you have to empty it you have nowhere to put the stuff, well i never seem to have any space, its a case of i might need that so i best take it ,half it never gets used.
I will be 'picky' over what goes back in. But as Michael says, I know from last time we had a clear out that bit by bit the rest of it finds it's way back. Although I really have no idea why the 'what-ifs' included 17 rolls of various coloured tape!

Hi, Had same problem, and only have 900k max, and when mover fitted it took pay load down by 35k, weight van found it was over weight by 100k, totaly enpted van, weight it, then weighed every thing from needle to anchor, All esential equipment whent in van, All spares and tools, other van accessories that i might need, whent into a big plastic storage box with wheels, and even that got weight when empty and full, that goes into car,and that keeps my under the max combined weight, and any new items thats bought they are weighed, and added to the list of All Caravan equipment.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
