If you have an interest(as I do)in VW camper & caravan sales/prices on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis & keep plenty in your watch list at all times, you will see a pattern emerging. The well presented listings always get the best prices.
Anybody with knowledge of sales/marketing will understand this. Certainly there is money to be made buying poorly presented items for good prices. But the advice for consistant successful ebay selling will always be a good set of pictures & a full, accurate, correctly spelt/punctuated description.
I have been in marketing, successfully btw, for the last 26 years and tend to believe that the majority of reasonably intelligent people can tell the difference between a scam ad and an ad placed by someone who does not necessarily have perfect English skills. I have also owned a successful online business and did not refuse sales because the purchaser did not use perfect punctuation.
I do however agree that an ad that has a good set of pictures alongside a detailed description of the item will attract a better price.
Anyway, I think the 'discussion' re the use of the Queens English has somewhat digressed from the original question. Back to it folks
