thanks
We haven't used Hooton Park as it has always been full when we have enquired. We were also put off as the access hours were quite restrictive from what I remember. We used to store at Greenacres which is just round the corner. It is all on grass and very tight for larger vans. However, the security is great and the owner lives on site.
We now use Champion Storage at Arrowe Park and are very pleased with it. Nice and secure, although not Cassoa registered. There is lots of room to manouever the van. I think we pay £28 a month.
I believe the caravan dealer at Burton nurseries has started storage although I have no idea what it is like.
Thanks Nands for your reply,i will look into your suggestions but i think my original question is now irelevent because after looking at hooton parks website they dont take twin axle vans ??
(mi spilcheker nit winking)
They will tell you anything they think you want to hear and it's all kybosh!
Kay Hawkins has a Silver CASSOA pound just behind the Bromborough Retail Park.
Seems safe enough and in the summer there seems to be a guy there a lot that does odd jobs. It's about £25-£27 a month. Lots of twin-axles there. No guarantee of a place of course.
Post code is CH62 3NL to look at on Google. Phone is 327 8402-07743 807816.
Hooton Hangars don't currently have any indoor space, but they have space outside. They are restricted to 9-5pm hours, but they say they can do out of hours by arrangement.
We're at Greenacres, but quite tightly compact. They have recently uped their prices slightly but still cheaper than most sites. They ask that you visit during daylight hours, so in summer that works out quite well.
Investigated the Burton Nurseries. He said it was secure, but when showing us around two men were walking around who weren't supposed to be there. So its not that secure. Again restricted to the nursery opening times to access the van. Fences are only half height and the bloke said that they have travellers visiting quite often!
I know its prob too far away but i had my van on JOHN MASON removals . I ts on wilson road huyton at junction of m57 m62 it was 400 per year , a gold site ,24 hour key fob acces and super secure with all hard standing.I onl;y moved it has my caravan was very cheap and it was costing more for storage than it was worth.
