winter blues are nearley over..we work all week and now the season is starting in which we can all have our fun and rewards again!! I am so excitied about the season starting up again..and totally love the hussel and bussel of every week end away with the kids and dogs :)
out comes the van from storage, good old sping clean, new stuff to buy and new site to find...im so happy its less than a week away i could burst!! does anyone else share the same sense of euphoria now that march is coming around?? or as my hubby says am i just caravan mad ha ha....i would love you to share your excitement :)......happy campeing everyone!!
Hate to say it but the season has started for some of us. So we had our winter blues washed away a few weeks back. Spring clean done; new stuff bought; sites booked...still had that euphoria just before we kicked off. What's the point of it all if you don't get that?
Chatsworth this weekend and already the caravan is washed polished and packed and so is the car (apart from a few minor bits and pieces) and we don't go till Sunday! Organised or what?

I cant wait for the season to start next week..it is a lovely feeling in the build up to it all isnt it :)...i would of started sooner but my 2 boys dont like the cold,,so march time is soon enough for them..i could do it all year...hmmm i must have travellers blood lol..or just constant escapism in mind ha ha
Chatsworth is a lovely place phil..im sure you will have a fab time there.(im assuming u mean chatsworth hall nr derbyshire and not chatsworth from shameless lol,,or you might find a caravan wheel or 2 pinched in the night lol (joking i knw u mean the hall lol)....
im going to take mine to a seasonal pitch this year and when we get time to tour we will tour from the seasonal pitch (like more than 1 1/2 days off work)..as sometimes after work on a friday night it is great to get to your van already pitched and have a glass of vino out of the fridge...so im going to cheat a little...we have found a lovely little site at thirklby hall,,not much there but the people and the atmoshere on a saturday night it great fun...roll on the barbeecue weather!! omg the sheer excitment ...i just simply cant wait!!
hope you have fun at the weekend phil! u lucky lad for getting stared already
sue is def has been a long old winter hasnt it hun!! cant wait to get ours out of storage and start again..like you we are taking ours to a sesonal pitch,as my hubby doesnt like the un packing and packing for short week ends,,and im a pain and need to go every weekend,,lol,,so if we get a season pitch i can go even if he doesnt want to,,yeahey!!!..as i wouldnt dare tow a caravan myself (mental note i must learn to tow!!)
dave..there isnt a set season for everyone,,just some of us cant brave the lovely crisp winter mornings...i could but my 2 little boys just wouldnt,,and i would hate to be in a caravan all day with them inside as usually they love to be out in the fresh air and that is great as i get PEACE :)
Thanks samp5679....and we were at Sandringham a couple of weeks back!!! Crisp sunny frosty mornings....

We are also poised just awaiting a bit of decent weather and we are away. I know it's close when OH puts one of those collapsible plastic crates in the pantry and it starts to get filled.
lucky you phill ,you have been already we arent away till end of march then hopefully they will all come rolling in after that, its good to see a bit of sun it makes you excited for your caravan expeditions, though we have had bad snow in april so we could still get a blooter from the artic yet,
its brilliant to hear the birds sing early in the morning ,and to see them all building the nests for the young ,for some that means spring ,for me its a caravan trip yipeeeee
the hustle and bustle never ends her . what is all this about the season starting? come on, get out during the non summer months, the sites are less crowded and there are fewer kiddy winks about - - only doggys. Mind you we did cancel the New Year trip this year - and it snowed in Derbyshire last weekend. Still, it is enjoyable nevertheless.
Last part of the jig saw put together this morning.
Just made the following
Chocolate cake covered in chocloate cream. We cut it into squares and then heat in the microwave and top with ice cream for chocolate pudding.
Current buns - heat and cover with custard for spotted dick
Feather cake - cut into squares covered in home made strawberry Jam from last year, heat in microwave - custard - Jam sponge
Shephers pie x 2 in those tin foil dishes. No time for messing around after setting up and putting awning up, need something quick and easy for dinner on Sunday night.
Sorted
