It finally feels like spring is here, today is warm and sunny so I decided this morning to wash the van. I had brought some Fenwicks caravan cleaner in the week.
I have only had the van a month or so (You may have read my other thread in repairs) we have tried it out too last weekend in Pembrokeshire for 3 nights.
Sadly the van has been a bit neglected previously and I have been keen to give it a good clean, but wanted to finish my minor repairs first or I would just make it mucky again.
She looks nice with the sun on it now. Just 2 capfulls of Fenwicks in the wash bucket and the black streaks, and green algae just fall off. I am very impressed with it. I used bobby dazzler to rinse it off with too.
16 year old van is now shinning like new
Inside the van I have given it a good clean and vac, and a spray round with Febreeze on the carpet. {dont want doggie smells} Today is a nice day to leave the windows and door open and give it a good airing.
Seeing the sun coming in though the windows like that makes you want to hitch up and goes doesn't it
The eagle eyed amongst you will spot the missing clock I have ordered one which should finish it off.
The only thing that didnt work properly last weekend was the toilet seal, the bowl slowly empties into the holding tank so a new one ordered up too.
I will keep doing little bits to it but for the most part now is the time to just go and use it

I think its the Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler that gives it such a shine, very very pleased with it now. I am going to Snowdon in 2 weeks no doubt it will be filthy by the time we get back. It does say on the back of the product that it should be easier to clean next time.
Looking for a nice porch awning now for weekends

I'm impressed as well. I've used 'Fenwicks' cleaner for a few years now but to be honest never used the 'Bobby Dazzler'. It's certainly encourageed me now to buy some for when I clean mine down next month. Nice job and well done, it shows that you take pride in your caravan very much like us.
Flogitt, I've been following your other thread with interest and am very impressed with all your hard work. It really has paid off and the van now looks amazing. Good on you, hope you enjoy many happy weekends/ holidays. Are you bringing the van to the IOW?

I am booked on the ferry with just the car ATM, so would need to modify the booking. I will have to decide later after I have towed it a few more times. We will be the only caravan there, Pete has the motorhome I think all the others are tents (3 bell tents going!)
Be nice to see you again
