Hi again,

OK it turns out that the fuse had blown hence why no running water etc! Thanx to all that offered support

We thought all was going well until hubby realised that the aquaroll was empty in minutes? Looked under the van and there is a striped blue pipe & water cpouring out?

Help!! Wats the pipe for....& how can i stop it?

Look around the pipes near the heater and you should see a lever in an upright position,flick this down and it shuts the drain.The heater should now fill.

I have just been to check and i cant see any levers at all!

Blue striped pipe? - is for cold fresh water and is likely to have dislodged from a connection somewhere (due to frost?) -  probably the inlet side of the water heater. so all you are doing is pumping water out of the aquaroll onto the floor.

Maybe somebody knows better......... 

It is a clear pipe with blue stripes.....small piece of black plastic towards the end with a red nozzle thing attachjed!!

Any ideas?

As I said this is cold fresh water pipe.  have a good look around the heater and see whether there is anything looking like a fixing point wher it may have come adrift from - failing that it sounds like the black plastic has come off something......

Gary posts on here at times and is very helpful so maybe ring him or e-mail.  He did say a while ago that he was going away ( annual trip) so he may not be back yet,

If you have an on-board tank there will be two drain pipes. my heater has an internal tap inside that drains to a pipe outside and there is a pipe underneath that has a tap on it to drain the cold water supply.

Could it be that you have lost the tap off the end of the cold water drain?

Not sure Tony! Maybe i should have stuck with the tent  We have a drain on the side of the caravan with a drain plug inside which we were told thats how you drain the water but maybe this one sticking out from under tha van is a overflow pipe?

sounds like a drain pipe can you shut off this pipe by pushing up the red bit?

I am puzzled, if it was a pipe that had come off the water heater I could not see how it would be hanging down outside the van. When this happened to me it just lay on the floor and flooded under the bed. It does rather sound like a drain or overflow pipe.

The questions are : Do you have an internal cold water storage tank? If so it could be the overflow but doesnt sound like it. Could it be, as stated before, the drain from the hot water tank that is open. The fact that the Aqua Roll is draining in minutes points to the drain.

Are you still near Cardiff?? I am hoping that we could get a reader from near you to pop out and assist..
