Although ours is about 18 months old it has only been used a few times. We have a problem with the pole that is the very bendy one that is horizontal to the ground at head height.
One of the metal sockets on one section where the next pole fits in has decided to start splitting. It seems that the only way to fix it is to cut the elastic inside, remove the section and repalce it with another. Alternatively to buy a whole new pole.
Can any one please advise if thsi is correct?
Why not give Outdoor Revolution's customer services a ring? they will be the best people to advise you and may even offer a replacement pole if your awning is still so new and could be considered 'Unfit for purpose' due to this fault.

I like Outdoor Revolution products, but I'm certain they have a non replacement policy regarding fibreglass poles (as most awning manufacturers do) regardless of age of awning.
I suffered a few split poles on mine during a freak storm last year and simply replaced the few broken ones very easily.
The best place by far I've found for replacement poles is Tent Spares
If you remove a section from the middle of the pole, how do you get the elastic back through to the last section? Any ideas.
We have since discovered on taking it down that another section has split.
maybe a longer piece of thickish fuse wire than the pole it has to go through, then attached to the elastic to form a long needle may do the trick. One way of threading such things if the hole is wide enough is to use Net curtain wire, peal back about a cm of its plastic covering to revel the colied spring that its made of then twist your elastic into the spring to form a type of needle eye so the elastic is trapped inbetween its coils. then thread the wire through your poles. I have used this for threading other awkward things through in the past but it all depends on the diameter of the hole in your pole lol!
from memory you should be ok!

have a pop over to the dark side, ie camping under canvas. This is a regular occurrence with flexipoles in a tent and there have been numerous threads covering the subject if you use the search.
