have a vanroyce 470etl 1998 have a problem with fanmaster just blows cold air when on electric have no manual just wondered what im doing wrong thanks for any help
Sorry, can't help but we had the same problem last weekend with our Fleetwood - it worked last time out two weeks ago. Luckily, we had a Halogen heater with us as well. Hopefully, someone will be along shortly to help us!
Not the best year to be guessing which type you have due to the mk2 Fanmaster being launched in 98, so basic difference is the mk1 uses a wall mounted control switch, the mk2 a slide switch on top of the fire.
The mk1 has an overheat thermal trip on the back and this may now need resetting, you will find it Here
The mk2 does not have this overheat feature, however a fairly common reason for sudden loss of electric heat is- the 'kettle' type mains plug to the heater has fell out!
You will find this on the right behind the fire, more or less where it says 'press' on the mk1 picture but on the other side of the heater.
Thanks for that, Gary. Mine is definitely a Mark 1 as my van is a 1997. However, the cover with the "Press" on in your picture looks suspiciously like the part I found on the floor in the bottom of the wardrobe. At least I now know where it is from! Will try and replace it next time I go to the van which is on a seasonal pitch in Oxfordshire. Might be time to get it serviced as I only bought the van in November so not sure when it was last done.
