Hi Folks,

Been browsing the forums for a while and bought myself an old 2 berth Avondale Perle custom thingy ...

handbrake works fine but i hooked it up to my towbar and it just travels then bumps the back of the car ... on investigating the brake system, it looks like theres something missing or perhaps not in the right place ... i'll try to get pictures tonight of it, but theres a hook undernearth where the towbar piston kinda is i think is in the wrong place ... i'll get pics as its hard to explain lol

2nd Q ... I've booked a short break at Haven in Primrose Valley in april, as its still going to be cold then, i was thinking about getting a electric fan heater like
?Electric Fan Heater

But a 2kw version ... Would this be ok with the electrics? ie .. it wont trip it

sounds like your damper is not working. this will bang on take off and braking. heater is fine as we use one BUT turn off any kettles or high use things to prevent a trip out.tv is fine.

the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Get hold of the hitch & move it backwards & forwards, if it moves easily the hitch damper will have had it. If you have no mechanical knowledge I would suggest you book it into a service place or get a mobile fitter to come around to give it a chassis service & replace whatever parts that need it. If the tyres are old I would change them as well or they could blow out on the road.
