Please save me from murder we have just come out for first tine in ournew van it has alde heating shows in instructions gas and electric heating but also shows a little icon on display saying you have power to the van 240 no icon checked trip all ok am I missing something ? My relation ship with my dealer is now shall we say stretched so would like to not have to go especially after just putting van on seasonal pitch and dealers now over 2 hours away!!!

Some installers put an additional mains switch in the van somewhere to feed the Alde. Is there a switch with "boiler" or "hot water" or something like that marked on it? Its a question to ask the dealer and/or van maker that can be done via the phone.

Some of the Alde systems have a safety feature that cuts the power to the heater if the total load on the supply exceeds a set amount. Check that this is not set to low and that you also have at least a 13amp supply with no other major electrical items powered on.

The Alde controller takes a bit of getting used to but after a while you get used to it and wonder how you ever managed without it.

Thanks guys as some one stated there was an extra switch even the dealer was unaware of this !!! Only has switch and fuse for alde heating .
Wow it is very good when it works and we have the telemetry link and I played all day sunday so now on our way to the van I can text it and it will have hot water and be nice and warm mmmmm lovely!!!!
