Im pretty sure there is an instant transfer that you pay for at the bank, I know halifax do them, it was offered to me when I bought a car cash.

A normal transfer takes up to 3 days with mine.

2-24Hrs??, go down early on, kip in the van overnight if it comes to it!!!!

When we sold our caravan we had the money sitting in our house over the weekend and then had to take it to the bank to put it away.  I wasn't at all bothered about it being in the house but when it came to taking it to the bank i was soo worried about my dh being mugged lol.  I was ready to fight anyone who even looked as if they might come near us lol.  No one at the bank even looked at us for putting that amount of money away which did surprise me :o

As a seller the only thing i would accept was cash :)
