Has anyone got the NEW Compactalite pro which incorporates the rear pad poles as well as the extra internal roof poles?? Ive the lat version which has been great bu its started to sag when we have had heavy heavy rain over winter (we have been away all winter on and off). I said to my other hald if it had extra roof poles and back pad poles it would be the perfect lightweight awning and them lo and behold it comes out to my exact requirements.... ooh and an improved 5000HH!! Just wondered if anyone had one of these and do the extras make all the difference????

Im interested in this too, we have the previous version and have been very pleased with it (the 250pro) but its starting to look well used (and it has been!) and we are looking to replace it, maybe even going up to the 325. We dont have the back poles on our present one and have managed perfectly well without so Im uncertain if they would be an improvement.
The reason we went for the Compactalite in the first place was that it was simple yet sturdy, and can be thrown up in 15 mins. The newer ones look like they might take longer to put up.
We have the Pro 400 with roof pole and Pad Poles. Never had it up in any sort of weather where there could have been any sagging. Think it depends how you erect it. Just make sure that the roof has a good slope and that the guys at the front pull the roof forward. The Pad Poles are fine at keeping the awning uptight and close to the van unlike the flapping and gap you get with say, Star Camp type porch awnings. Very useful if you have a dog you want to keep in. Having said that, at the front of the van we have a windown and the 400 awning ends in the middle of that window. With the bow of the window the pad ples keep the awning flush to the window but inevitably leave a gap between awning and van below the window. Very sturdy piece of kit, well made and looks smart.

We always try to have it up right,the last version sagged when we had torrential rain whilst staying at Gretna and was pegged and guyed to perfection, love the awning but think the extra internal roof poles will make all the difference not fussed about the back pad poles but think they come as extras with the extra internal roof poles Stuff it Im gonna get one an found a great price with all poles included!!!!Thanks for your help guys!!
