I now take 2 6kg bottles. One 'for the caravan', 'one for the Cadac'. If one runs out, then I can always swap them. What's the chance of both of them running out at once? In my case, probably 100%.

Yes happened to us!! Went for the first time without EHU, ok for the first day and then during making dinner gas ran out, changed to other bottle, no gas in that either. Site did not sell gas, had a trip of about 20miles to get another bottle. It was this experience that was the deciding factor to go with the Calor lite with guage. (plus less weight of course) Now got 2 of them.
