Any appliance that has a 3 pin domestic mains plug for power will only work if you are connected to a mains supply via the appropriate cable. The fuses are in circuit for protection of 12 volt battery power only so have no relevance to mains power whatsoever. The cut out device for the mains electric appliances such as hot water heater, microwave, fridge (mains power) wall lights and the onboard battery charger/transformer are found at the trip switches inside the MCB box.

First check main rcd has not tripped then check other cct breakers. Then check the circuit breaker on the electrical post has not tripped.
If there is another spare plug on the post try it.

On some sites you wil have to ask the warden or one of the staff to,reset them as they have the key to the posts!
