I know you can have your load weight made higher on newer vans by contacting the maker. but is there any why of doing it for an old van ours is an abi ace award twelve two so shes 31 years old and the company no longer make toures

The "normal" route is via the manufacturer.

I suspect a qualified mechanical engineer, I feel they would need to be Chartered, could do a survey and issue a formal report on its viability to be upgraded and have then a plate made.
But given the van's age and the normal market cost of professional involvement it certainly will not be anywhere near cost effective.
