We are going to look at a 2007 Solaris (with island bed) tomorrow. It has had 1 owner, seems high spec inc CD player, alarm. Does anyone have any experience apf the Solaris range of 'vans or this model in particular.
We are trying not to get too excited in case we're not keen. We have decided to lower our expectation as it is taking forever to get the funds for a brand new 'van and have decided to search for a van that is a couple of years old. Prices seem very high at the moment, i hope this is reflected in the price offered for our current 'van.
Hi we have the Solaris 1 2006. It's our first caravan so have no experience of other makes but we love it.
We've had it almost a year, we used it through the winter (including christmas ) and it kept us warm...too warm at times. There's plenty of storage, the cooker is great the alarm is easy to use....we have nothing bad to say about it.
We love it so much we are spending our honeymoon in it ..... France in 5 weeks not that i'm counting lol.
Thanks for replying kwen. Has yours got a fixed bed? If so, is the mattress 'firm' or 'soft'? I remember when looking at other Lunar caravans with fixed beds, that the mattresses were very soft and wondered in an older van how they have fared. We do like a firm mattress.
Lol it's very exciting we were like a pair of kids last year . When we went to the nec in october we didn't see a new van that we would want to swop ours for even if we could afford it !! Hope you have a good morning.
We have bought the Lunar Solaris 3 that we went to see today. It is fabulous, unfortunately we have to wait til we come back from our Easter hols to pick it up!
So our Adria is sadly going - its been a great first caravan and i hope the next family enjoy it as much as we have.
Hello again - we picked up our Solaris today and its absolutely lovely! On our way home from Scarborough we swapped our Adria and took delivery of the Solaris! Can't wait to get all our stuff organised in there over the next couple of weeks. We've booked weekend of next at Losehill CC site, castleton and cannot wait to try everything out!
A big thank you to Peter Roberts Caravans for superb service.
kwen - enjoy France, we're not going this year! I am envious!
Thanks Jusy for your good wishes.- can't wait to get out in it. Trying to find the time to sort everything into it! Work for 2 days now so will have to wait til Friday!

Mrs Zafiral found the fixed bed in our Bailey too hard so we have a memory foam topper. I found the bed fine, but I have to admit it is so much more comfortable with the Jonic model specific topper in situ.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
