Just washed and cleaned the van with Silky van cleaner/polish...applied it with a wet sponge, removed all winter green,stains, bird muck and washed off, result.....a sparkly van with no black streaks!!

Just need to buff it up once its dried.

Just thought I'd let you know how easy that was, I should be a silky salesmen!!!

Now off to mow the grass!!

I got home on Friday and said to OH 'I've got you a pressie!' and presented him with a pot of Silky.....I'm not sure he was overly impressed initially until I said everyone rates it on here, now I'm actually hoping for black streaks so Silky can prove itself lol

Thanks for that. I note that Silky quote "Now also includes sinsulack polishing powder to further enhance its performance." This is an abrasive powder but how abrsive is open to discussion. In its action it seems to be similar to a honing powder. It seems that some of the marine products also contain this material so I assume that it must be OK to use on gel coats.
