Planing on buying a new caravan later this year - 4 berth, around £5000. But want is to be quite short (under 18 foot external lenght)- any ideas???? many thanks

I think you might be struggling to find a 4 berth caravan under 18 feet long actually unless you go for an older caravan as they did 4 berth vans much smaller than today. Our caravan is a 2 berth and the overall length is nearly 21 feet which about the norm these days. Probably the best route is to look for a folding camper if you are struggling for space length wise. Anyway, good luck and hope someone can point you in the right direction.

does anyone have any opinions on vans to aviod e.g prone to damp etc or weather private adds or a dealer is the best route to take when purchasing a van???

Have decided on a two berth and make use of an awning so has anyone ever had any experiences with the:

Sterling Eccles Topaz 2001 2 berth

Bailey Pageant Imperial 2001 2 berth

Compass Omega 360/2 2001 2 berth  

If so how much should i expect to pay if they are in good nick???
