Just wondered if anyone out there could recomend an insurance company that insures classic caravans, Ihave a 1969 Eriba Puck and am having a nightmare trying to find insurance.
When I had an 80s Eriba up to about 3yrs ago. I insured it ok with Saga for about £70 pa. Several other companies were a similar price. I'm not sure you will get agreed value as with classic cars tho. An old Puck in good nick is worth around £2k.
Ah, Saga is for over 50s only. Usually an old caravan, 80s & older can be insured for about £70 or little more. Try phoning insurance co's rather than just internet quotes.
Caravan insurance is not actually a legal requirement. All car insurance covers you for third party risks while towing. Caravan insurance is for accident & fire cover for the caravan. So you are legal to tow the caravan whatever.
Have you tried the camping and caravanning club insurance? We found many of the leading companies didn't want to know our 1980's caravan or they refused to accept we had brand new kit such as a motor mover or awning despite offering to provide them with receipts & photographs.
However, the camping and caravanning club were happy to include these in our cover and it only cost around £50.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
