I think it is the corrosion of water heaters that the above are concerned about. There is a big difference between simply sterilising an Aquaroll and leaving Milton in the caravan system for any length of time. My personal experience is that cleaning pipework with Milton is not as effective as using Puriclean. When I changed to Puriclean from Milton a few years back I was shocked at the amount of gunge that the Puriclean dislodged from the pipework. I have read some comments about people saying water in caravans tastes of plastic even after a few years of use but I have a feeling that this is just the result of a build up of what is known as biofilm in the pipework. Since changing to Puriclean I have never had a chemical or plastic taste in the water except when I have dropped in a couple of Aquatabs because I felt the site supply was 'iffy'. Apologies if this sounds like an ad for Puriclean but it is simply my personal experience and if anyone tries any of the newer water system cleaning chemicals such as that made by Truma can they post on here as to its effectiveness compared with existing treatment options.

I think useing milton is true, some one on another thread said it did go for the chrome in the water heater.I agree with Birdie in useing puriclean as its also used to sterilize the bottles etc in making wine.

I clean ours with the thin cheap bleach. Very dilute, it is just like Milton. I then give it a fresh rinse out.

Aquarolls are a pain to clean. They never fully empty and dry because of the two indents were the tyres are. They get on my nerves grrrrrrr.
