obviously the length (or width ?!) you buy to fit your caravan, but it's the other measurement I'm after - but not the height from the floor... don't know whether this should be properly referrred to as width or lenght or depth sorry !  Protusion maybe ???

Ok I'm hoping by now you know what I'm on about .... so for an awning size 13' what is the er - `protrusion'  measurement likely to be.. is it going to be the same no matter what make/model of full awing you buy, or do they vary ? If they vary is it by much ?

Can't seem to find out off the www. I hope this makes sense btw !

Standard ones tend to be 2.4-2.5m altho if you want a deeper one they can go up to 3.5m.  The extra wide ones are great for the extra space (we have one) but you do need to make sure your pitch will be big enough to take it.

Basically a standard awning is more or less the same size as your caravan. The last van we had came with a full size awning and I was always surprised by the available space.

Cheers !

I spent about 3/4 of an hour trying to find that out today but got nowhere - what a waste of time, should have just asked you lot in the first place !
