I viewed a 2005 discovery 100 today. Seemed like a very good buy for the money. It had been owned by the camping and caravan club for towing courses, so internally very clean. A few things I was unsure of though.

1 - The back window/wall felt flimsy compared to the other walls in the van. I checked for signs of damp, & everything seemed fine, certainly no signs that could cause structural damage. I checked other baileys the dealer had & another seemed to be the same. Can't say I've ever noticed this with other makes of van, unless they've had damp. Is this normal?

2 - The awning rails, some of the mastic looked untidy, not smoothed off well. Can they leave the factory like this, or is this a sign the rails have been rebedded?

3 - Looks like some dreaded clear silicon around front reflectors on both sides, mastic underneath looks a bit cracked. Again no signs of damp, but didn't have my damp meter with me to do a proper check. I'm not sure if this has been done as a precautionary measure.

The has full service history, and the dealer will give 6 months warranty. Am I just being picky, or are any of the above cause for concern?

Well I'm going to have another look today. Anyone any ideas, especially anyone who's owned/has a bailey regarding the rear wall/window.
