I never bother with blocks unless the ground is miles out. Even lengthways, I usually just level by eye. When we first started, I used to use a small spirit level, until I realised that we were slightly nose up on the floor, level on the worktop and nose down on the ceiling. As long as I don't roll out of bed, I have decided we are level enough!
