It depends on how much time effort and money you wish to put in.
I myself will do this at the start of each year.
1. Thoroughly rinse then wash all of the caravan inc roof with Fenwicks and rinse off.
2. Go over the caravan with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish and wipe off with micro fibre towel.
3. Apply a coat of Autoglym HD Wax to the whole painted surface of the van and wax off using microfiber towel. HD wax leaves an amazing coat of wax that will last most of the summer on the van and is ace at keeping black streaks at bay, making the next few cleans of your van easy!
For the rest of the season i use Autoglym bodywork shampoo to keep the van clean. Do not use Fenwicks again, as it will remove that nice coat of HD Wax.
Not cheap and hard work, but worth the effort IMO.

Autoglym dosent stand a chance against showroom shine from grease lightning.
You obviously don't know a thing about cleaning cars/caravans safely to recommend a product like that as i believe its a dry clean spray. These type of dry cleans will scratch your van as the dirty particles of grit that form the dirt on your van will be scratched into the paintwork. Its the equivlent to dipping your wash mit in some soil then going at your paintwork. Foolish. A dirty car/caravan should always be Rinsed with water first, then washed away with pleanty of water and shampoo to avoid scratching. Even if a hosepipe is not possible, use your containers and wash and rinse with as much water as poss. DO NOT DRY CLEAN
Autoglym SR Polish is brill for bringing the brilliant white shine back to your caravan, then a coat of Autoglym HD Wax which is a Carnuba hard wax will leave a coat of protection for your caravan which will last all summer. An all in one just wont do the job as good or have the same protection.
Restoring paintwork on cars with machine polishes and cutting compounds/polishes has been a little hobby of mine over the years and one thing i know for a fact is Autoglym have some of the best products in the industry.
What it looks like and how something protects and lasts are two different things. I used to go the Fenwicks route and rinse of with Bobby Dazzler but now I stick to basically the same routine as mjw1999 and it seems to do a better job and makes in cleaning during the year easier. As I also caravan extensively during the winter months I repeat the Super Resin and HD wax routine about the end of September while the weather is still half decent and then all it needs is a quick once over as and when required during the winter mainly to remove the road salt and grime that is attracted to my 'van.

well i'll keep eating my cold sandwiches while you keep scratching the paintwork on your caravan and we shall leave it at that
Ok mate but do try it and watch out for it on ideal world,it was developed by the yanks in the gulf war for cleaning and polishing the aircraft and has been used in america where there is a hose pipe ban.
As mjw1999 said , depends on how much time and money youve got to do it. I use normal wash and wax ie car care or turtle shampoo for a quick once over , if ive got a day to wash it id prob spend a few pounds and give it the love and attention it needs ,a good wash first, then a decent black streak remover ,then another wash after you get the black streaks off if any, then a polish after that but not the roof ha , im no good with brand names as long as they do the job and my van is in tip top cond im happy so enjoy the scrubbing either way lol

I also use 'Onedrywash' and it is really good - no scratches at all. I do the car with it too. I have wondered what the equivalent Care-avan product is like as it is endorsed by Bailey..
