Hi All, I was chatting to another caravaner to day, in all places a car accessory shop,(bits for car,and some polish,) got round to talking about the vans and the polishes that others have used,  the Autoglym products, RS polish, and the HD wax, saw the price of a small tin of the wax  1" high and 3" in diameter,in a box 6"X6"X6" with the cloths,£44,(still sitting on shelf),I told him I am re sealing all the rails on my van, and he said he would need to do his, and was thinking of taking it to the caravan workshop as its only around £150 to re seal van, (for that price I wish i had taken it to the workshop) any way i arirved at at my localcaravan  accessory shop for more sealer, out of curiosity I took a walk to the workshop, and asked what cost would be to re seal a van, We re seal vans up to 10years old, and it is 3hours per rail, add the cost of all the sealer, cleaning, and polishing, and Vat, would be the best part of £1000, And I thought this was a cheep hobby.Im glad I am doing mine myself,(weather permiting) all in all has cost me £50, So what do I buy now with the £950 saving, after the beers of course???

Some HD Wax! Its great stuff by the way and can be had online or ebay for £25 for the kit. There doesn't seem a lot of wax in there but it goes very very far and lasts a long time per application.

Hi mjw1999, thats what the guy said, I think the cost was in the packaging,

I disguarded it on two counts, 1, it was over priced(and as you say cheeper online),

2, it is hard work with the application, as i have had bypass and i have been left with a shortness of breath and get very tired when i try to polish,so have to stick to something that a bit easier to work with.
