They look great but the price would put me off when a spare piece of wood would probably do the trick!

I have a leveller similar to the Milenco but steel. We use it most of the time. However we have a large piece of half inch plywood cut so the leveller sits on it and is never on the ground  - always on the wood - this prevents the leveller from sinking into the ground. Advantage is precise levelling without having to mess about with various pieces of wood. Jacking it up can be tedious but it also serves as another anti-theft device.

I was lucky as it was a gift.

I find it a much easier way of levelling across the van than using wood under the wheels. Used to have the smaller steel version and it was OK but when the tyres were hot on arrival at a pitch it could be difficult to slide in. The new lighter Aluminium model fits tyres from 13" to 16" however I would be uncertain about using with 16" tyres!

I woud not be without mine - makes setting up very simple and not a lot of effort if you use a larger handle and socket to wind up the wheel!!!!

Thanks for the replies, I managed to get one off eBay last night for £20 and the seller was less than a mile from home so no p&p either

The site we use is set in woodland and very uneven so should be a very handy piece of kit.

Alan F the piece of plywood I mention is another reason to use it - no problem sliding the leveller under the wheel and out again. Without the wood the leveller can sink into the ground and make it impossible to withdraw or difficult to insert. I also have a smaller 1/2" piece of wood screwed into the centre of the board to reduce lifting amount.

Hi, I bought this one from Riversway, still seems to be a good price! http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.riverswayleisure.com/acatalog/info_222776.html

I carry a piece of laminate flooring to place underneath if needed on wet ground but have rarely needed it. Will certainly experiment with sliding effect, thanks Bowler70 for the tip!
