Hmmm. Mixed feelings about this. Good quality sites but they are pretty pricey considering it's a mutually owned club. VAT is up - might explain part of it? Not supposed to be a "for profit" but sometimes I wonder, however site development and refurb's wouldn't be cheap.
On the up side, ferry bookings and perhaps insurance services are good value and you have back up of legal team and technical advice.CC Europe books are good too. 12 magazines a year (don't you just love the whinging readers letters about kids/noise/bad manners/anything that is different from me/holier than thou Mr Reallygood noseweight or safety procedures etc.)
All in all we'll probably stick with them but I'd not be surprised if their staff have a really cosy well paid job at our expense (not the wardens, but there are a few jobsworths there), but I might be quite wrong as usual.
