Is the jockey wheel tyre identical to your old caravan? I was once told that if you have a motor mover fitted you are supposed to have an inflatable tyre fitted on the jockey wheel too for ease of movement as a hard tyre is susceptible to cause crabbing especially on uneven ground which has already been mentioned. Just a thought that's all.
