Quite a lots happened over the last year and a bit, much of it sad as some of you know, trying to juggle everything and run the business has been difficult and the business and customer satisfaction has suffered.
However and finally, light is at the end of the tunnel and the business is moving premises.
Problem is it's slightly premature and although I can move and have room to store all the kit..in a container!.. the workshop ain't quite ready yet?
So, I move out on or before Friday the 27th which means I'm doing little in the way of repairs until Tuesday 31st when hopefully I'll actually have a work bench of some sort?!
(Anyone waiting, I'm doing at least one job a day to keep on top of current workload)
The good news is I'm moving just 500yds so still in the same tiny village, the really good news then is I keep Colin the postman so nothing should go astray even with the wrong address! Infact, it's only the last letter of the postcode that changes!
One thing I need to sort out is the landline, so if you really must ring, please use the mobile number on my website
Anyway, what it means to you all is I can't help much over the next couple of weeks, normal service will resume ASAP
Thanks people for your kind thoughts, especially the offer of a van mate however my mates coming Thursday with a Yank pick-up so that's now sorted....mind you, any chance of fetching a 12ft concrete slab circle from south of Birmingham
Well, thanks again for your thoughts guys and we done it with an hour to spare!
House, workshop, shed, coal bunkers! empty and either in the container, in the skip or down the scrapyard!
Skip man said we'll pick it up Saturday, I replied...well if you want paying I'd get here before one Friday or I've gone and you've had it! he came about half 12 (tip; if you want a skip gone, keep control and don't pay to they pick up!)
Scrap strangely was the problem?, I'd took a load of quality myself and the prices are still very high, had a tatter round on speck and he took a load of mixed. I rang him to get some more and he said he'd be round at 8 the next morning, no sign since and not answering his mobile?!.... in the end a guy doing a job next door took it this morning, well over a ton of mixed and hopeful I'm due a drink out of it? but I needed it out the way and it went and that's all that mattered.
Anyway it turns out the 'container' is powered up so for the time being the dirty work will be done there! not ideal but it's summer and warm and the new workshop should be ready long before it gets cold.
So back in the saddle from late next week, again though, mobile number only for the time being.
