Thanks guys, I haven't seen a drain point but I'll have another look. Is it a big deal if you don't empty it but come home with some water still in it and leave it for a week 'til the next trip? Not that we've done that of course!

Just that you need to take account of the weight of the water. Shouldn't really be that much of an issue if you have drained as much as you can. Too much left in and it sloshes about as you travel and that could affect stability. Probably the lay up before winter is the really crucial period for getting all the water out

If there is water in there, and the van is laid up for some time, there is also a possibility of bacteria building up. These generally come out as black bits in the loo bowl. A regular wash through with Milton or Fendox will sort that out
