I have been told the site were staying on in devon can be uneven so we had better take leveling ramps with us. so of i pop on town sure to order some and am no completly confused. i was just going to get the fiamma level pro ones as our caravans only 902kg fully loaded. so didnt think we needed the big best leverlers. But whats got me confused is once the vans on them and been leveled upwhat stops the caravan rolling down again. as i have read on here not to leave your hand break on once pitched and there no chocks on this leveler. i know this may seam a stuped question but what keeps it were you put it

How about these, complete with chocks, and right or wrong but we use the caravan brake when on ramps or on the flat. I paid for a brake, I use the brake. Except when travelling.

You should certainly leave the handbrake on. Problems only arise over longer periods. We also chock the wheels. You can get proper chocks or just use blocks of wood.
Ramps often come with ridges, where you can locate a chock.

made my own with 4 pieces of wood screwed on top of each other so the van rises one level at a time until it is level. when it is level the wheel is on a flat piece of wood. just remember to level before unhitching or use the mover bingo got the idea from an ex caravanner 30 years ago makes me seem so old now
Hi fallenangel, the wood goes under the ramp to stop ramp sinking into the soft ground,so will need to be a little bit wider than ramp. hope that helps.

You should always reverse onto ramps, due to the auto reverse. Doing this the van should hold on parking brake alone, but it's still wise & good practice to use chocks aswell.
got some nice ornage coloured leverelers and matching chocks and new water pipe and a new pink kettle and another £80 worth of stuff lol. see i new i should not have gone in castelcroft shop lol
