Hi

Just got back from a few days away and while we were there we tried the new awning out (brilliant!), it came with a storm tie down kit but nothing for these thingies (sorry can't think what they are called):

I read that people use guys or bungee cord but am wondering if there are any other recommendations out there and where I can buy if so?  OH likes the idea of bungee but what would go on the ends to peg it down?

LOL, I've only really seen them on seasonals too but OH likes it all 'shipshape' if you know what I mean

Many of the full awnings have provision for these extra storm guys and they can be purchased as an additional accessory.

We've never found the need to buy/use them and I can't say I've ever seen anyone else bother with them either. I suppose they would stop the sides from flapping a bit - but would also be a trip hazard.

We do use storm straps to help secure the frame in bad weather, but I just can't see any justification for the little ones around the side walls.

Woofers, if you look at Bill Terrys pictures of his new awning, he has them tied down. I've been drooling at the pictures since he posted them. Lol
