Thought I'd say hello, as we have just moved over to our first caravan from previously owning folding campers.  We have purchased a brand new Sterling Europa 470 that we pick up on Thurs and go away in, on Friday for the bank holiday weekend  I have to say we were surprised at the prices of good secondhand vans around five years old, it wasn't a lot more to buy a new one..It meant changing the car too, but it was about time we had a new one .  Love looking through your pics on here so I'll make sure i post some of our first outing on here.

congrats on the new van. We picked up our first van last week and went away for the weekend. Loved it and looking forward to our next trip already.

We switched from Folding Camper to caravan last month & thoroughly enjoy it.  Setiing up is less strenuous, we don't end up in a sweat like we used to with the camper & the caravan is far more comfortable. 

Towing a camper is good practise for towing the caravan.  The main difference is when a lorry passes on the motorway - my hubby says he can really feel it so he tends to slow down a bit when he sees one coming.

Brand new 'van eh?  Careful with those awning poles then! (and remember it's a bit higher when entering car parks and toll stations if in Europe)
