has anyone made up their own mains water kit to fit an aquaroll?

as ive looked at them on the internet and they seem quite expensive for what you get,

and being reluctant to spend to much (the oh says it`s called tight) i thought i would ask....

We bought the Water Hog version of this;

Mains water adaptor valve

Just connect a hose and away you go. It works superbly!

(We think it was good value, as a spare cap on its own is about £6.00 and this saves the trip to buy a valve, and drilling a hole).

I did see information on this a few years ago in a magazine. It was for the larger aquaroll with the side cap and basically involved replacing the cap with a valve.

I priced up the bits to make my own last year and found it wasn't worth my while once I found this guy on fleabay selling his own version. Works perfect (after a tweak of the position of the fitting on the filler cap) and nothing in it price wise once you've faffed around.

Hose fittings, a few extra quid
Replacement Aquaroll cap, for those times you're not on a serviced pitch, £6 ...
