Having had the wind take our awning over the caravan and damaging the door and roof.
We put a claim through via email including photos of all the damage on 9th May. We had authorisation to have the repairs done last week and have received a cheque for a new awning today. They did ask for a purchase receipt but I didnt have one as awning was 6 years old. Just supplied 2 quotations for a new awning and all sorted. There only query was the bedroom annex. I quoted for a new one as I believe they are not universal.
Thats good to hear and well done you for telling everyone about it. Too many times we are quick to moan but don't think about praise.
I often send an email to a company to say thank you if I have had good service.
